Actors for By Any Other Name - a world premiere musical

Union and non-union actors wanted for SpeakEasy Stage Company’s world premiere production of BY ANY OTHER NAME, a new musical by Deborah Zoe Laufer (Book & Lyrics) and Daniel Green (Music & Additional Lyrics). Directed by M. Bevin O’Gara. By Any Other Name is a contemporary musical that reimagines Shakespeare’s young lovers by thrusting nine of his most iconic heroines into a magical forest. Guided by the three witches from Macbeth, characters from As You Like It, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream collide as they confront love, jealousy, friendship, grief, and self-definition. As alliances shift and old scripts fail them, the girls question the roles written for them by men, parents, and tradition.
